Accountant – Job Description

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
• Prepare tax documents and support audits
• Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and discrepancies
• Support payroll processing as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, etc.)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification (preferred but not required)
• Experience with payroll, job costing, or project accounting
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
